Project 1- Trend Forecast Booklet
This is a project of my recent piece of work from my Fashion Futures Module. This was my favourite project by far as it allowed be to develop a Trend forecast booklet for a brand which was Matalan.
I chose this brand because there are a lot of improvements that Matalan could make in order to keep up with new trends. Therefore, it allowed me to use my key skills which were being creative and developing a booklet for a fast growing market which was females aged 16-30.
I chose this market because social media is the biggest platform for content creators to display their work.
In addition I had to find a model and style them which was perfect for me as I would like to become a stylist in the foreseeable future.
Doing this project gave me an insight using different resources that were available to me. As we are in the middle of a pandemic, I was able to take these photos myself using an I-phone. This was a fun task as I have a GCSE in photography, which allowed me to reuse the skills I leant and create a trend booklet which was based on Vintage summer LA.
I developed this in my own style because I am within that target market for Matalan, being a female aged 19 who is influenced by fashion trends seen on social media.
Whilst creating this booklet, I was also inspired by my favourite female artist Lana Del Rey. As her aesthetic is old Hollywood Glamour, I was able to watch her music videos which inspired me to go with the theme being Vintage summer LA.
Therefore, developing this trend forecast booklet allowed me to put my own style and taste into the images and making sure it fits the aesthetic.
I was able to show initiative creativeness, styling and photography skills all in one project which built initiative hopefully choosing a career path which will allow me to develop these skills in the future.
Project 2- Market Release & Press Pack
This second project was for my Fashion Practice module which is also a new piece of work.
This was based on a Market release and a press pack for the collaboration between Christopher Raeburn X Adidas.
Christopher Raeburn has shown his creative direction through his pioneering work being all about sustainable clothing. This then gave me an idea for Christopher Raeburn to do a collaboration with Adidas.
The Christopher Raeburn brand is based on helping the fight against climate change, I chose Adidas because they are not known for this and as they are a worldwide brand, it would be the perfect way for Christopher Raeburn to get brand recognition.
As I have studied Business for over 6 years now, I have always had an interest in marketing within fashion. Therefore, this was the perfect project to showcase my knowledge of business and fashion.
This allowed me use my skills which are being organised and creative which is key to this project as you have to be unique with the proposal.

This project gave me an insight of what type of work goes in to being a marketeer within fashion.
I would also like to explore this for the future as I love business and fashion, therefore it would be the perfect fit for me to develop my skills into being a marketer for a fashion brand like Chanel or Balmain.
